Fishing Tournaments
Casting for Hope hosts a suite of fly-fishing competitions across each calendar year–and we are always open to another one if you have an idea! These events are part of the Casting for Hope Series–a coveted leaderboard that tracks all events to the end of the year for a final Casting for Hope Series Champion. Our four annual events are our Fips-based, world-championship-molded Casting for Hope, based out of Spruce Pine and Bakersville, North Carolina that runs the second weekend in April each year, our “no rules except no barbs” Cherokee Classic that draws in many competition anglers but also opens the door to folks who might not be familiar with or yet-comfortable with the Fips rules in June/July each year. Our fall fundraising fly-fishing competitions are in October with the Showdown at the Retreat Center and November on Wilson Creek the Wilson Creek Team Challenge. Stay tuned to our Casting for Hope Series platform for information about signing up for these events as their dates are updated.
