From Water to Wine–A Benefit Wine Tasting and Auction at Burntshirt Vineyards

From Water to Wine is a wine tasting and auction fundraiser presented by Casting for Hope. We are taking our fundraising strengths from the water to a vineyard at Burntshirt Vineyards on Friday, February 26 from 6:00–8:00 pm.

While sampling Burntshirt’s wine and beer offerings and appreciating A Day in the Country’s Café hors d’oeuvres, participants will be invited to bid on a treasure trove of items donated by individuals and businesses across the region.  Auction items include wonderfully-designed original jewelry pieces, a float trip, a custom fly rod, beautiful pottery, collectible porcelain figurines, professionally-framed embroidery pieces, item-specific gift certificates, distinctively-sewn articles, and other in-hand and pledged submissions.

We’re excited to offer a treasure trove of items in both our silent and web-based auctions for you to view and bid on until your heart’s content!

Tickets are on sale for $50.00 at the Hendersonville Visitor Center, 201 South Main Street.  To purchase your ticket online, you can process your payment via PayPal by sending in your $50 donation and indicating that the payment is for “From Water to Wine.”  We’ll follow up with your payment confirming your ticket number.  Additional ticket and auction information is available by contacting Kathy Haney at 828-712-2716 or [email protected].

Casting for Hope’s mission is to heighten awareness of ovarian and gynecological cancers, to grow the knowledge base of women and their families about elusive symptoms, and as importantly, to use fundraising proceeds to attend to the needs of women diagnosed with a gynecological cancer. Several women in the Hendersonville area are currently receiving necessity assistance from the Casting for Hope team. All proceeds from this event will assist in forwarding Casting for Hope’s work in our communities in western North Carolina.
