#GivingTuesdayCfH
With #GivingTuesday right around the corner, the Casting for Hope team wanted to make our community aware of three awesome ways you can participate in #GivingTuesdayCfH.
The Casting for Hope Retreat Center
Are you, or do you have an avid fly-fisherman or fly-fisherwoman in your network for whom you’re looking to find the perfect Christmas gift, while supporting a local non-profit? A patronage of the Casting for Hope Retreat Center is just the ticket. With just less than 2 miles of private water managed for trophy trout and 150+ acres of wooded forest and lodging availability covering up to ten people, the Casting for Hope Retreat Center is located in Bakersville, North Carolina on Big Rock and Little Rock Creeks. Below are a few of the recent “catches.”
Annual donation levels begin at just $1,000. For more information about the Casting for Hope Retreat Center, check it out on our website and/or e-mail John at [email protected].
Casting for Hope’s Winter Music Fest
Mipso is one of the great “renegade bluegrass” bands in the country. Their recently-released album Old Time Reverie debuted at #1 on the Bluegrass Billboard Charts–and Casting for Hope is bringing them back to Morganton for one of the nights that people look forward to most in Burke County! Get your tickets while they still last for December16 by heading over to the ticket purchasing page of the CoMMA website or calling the box office. The Casting for Hope team sold out of VIP and Deluxe tickets weeks faster than they did in any other year, and seats at CoMMA are selling faster than any other year as well. For more information about the concert, contact Taylor at [email protected].
And if you’ve not ordered your official Casting for Hope Presents Mipso in Morganton shirts–you need to! Shirts will pre-sell until December 7 at noon. We’re seriously upping our gear game this year with much higher quality and much softer textured t-shirts. We’re only going to order a few extra shirts, so to secure yours, make sure order in advance by clicking here!
Donations
As always, we greatly support your monetary and in-kind donations to Casting for Hope. These incredibly generous donations strongly supplement our fundraising efforts and are intensely efficient dollars to support the work we are doing in WNC for women and families affected by a diagnosis of ovarian or other gynecological cancer. If you’d like to make a financial contribution, you can do so by easily navigating over to our PayPal donation page or sending contributions to our Asheville P.O. Box listed at the bottom of this e-mail. In addition to monetary donations, we are gearing up for a fun wine and cheese tasting and auction event in Henderson County in February (more to come about that!) and while we’ve got incredible pieces and donations already cataloged for that auction, if you’ve got a great piece you’d like to donate to us to support the women and families we serve, we’d love to hear about it. For more information about donating to Casting for Hope, e-mail Kathy at [email protected].
Do you ever wonder how Casting for Hope uses your support? We’ll we’d like to tell you about it in the recent words of a few of our patients:
After receiving an e-mail from Casting for Hope stating that the requested needs would be meet, one patient e-mailed us back to say “Oh thanks to God for this email. I am so grateful…. Thanks to those who give. I am so relieved, as I’ve been so worried. God knows. Bless you all.”
Another wrote about her recent Casting for Hope Retreat experience by saying “Most importantly, over this weekend I connected with more ‘sisters’ who are surviving gynecological cancer and their caregivers. The fellowship created during this retreat will always be with me.”
As you and your family reflect on #GivingTuesday, we at Casting for Hope can count on your continued support as we continue to provide support to women and families in Western North Carolina affected by ovarian or other gynecological cancers! And we’d love to read about it on social media outlets using the hashtag #GivingTuesdayCfH.
